Origins of the dinosaur game
The game was introduced in 2014 by a team of developers at Google Chrome, including Sebastien Gabriel, Alan Bettes, and Edward Jung. It was designed to serve as a lighthearted diversion during internet outages. According to the developers, the dinosaur theme was chosen to humorously suggest that not having internet is like going back to the prehistoric era.
At launch, the game had a few bugs and didn't run on older Android devices, prompting some initial criticism. However, by 2016, a stable version was rolled out and quickly became a user favorite.
