So I've been doing a ton of research lately because my 2015 A7's ZF transmission has started acting up with some weird shifting behavior and I'm trying to get a handle on what might be wrong before I take it to a shop and get hit with a massive bill. I've been reading through a bunch of different forums and websites, trying to educate myself on common issues with the 8-speed and what kind of costs I should expect for repairs here in the UAE. I stumbled across a site that seems to have a lot of detailed information about Audi transmissions, including breakdowns of common problems, fluid change procedures, and what to look out for with different gearbox types. I noticed the URL is http://auditransmissionrepair.ae/ and I was wondering if anyone here has actually used this resource before and found it helpful, or if it's just another generic site that repackages information from other places without adding anything useful. The content I've skimmed through seems pretty comprehensive and it's written in a way that's actually understandable for someone who isn't a mechanic, which I appreciate because some of the technical forums can get really dense and hard to follow. I'm especially interested in any information about torque converter issues on the ZF because I'm pretty sure that's where my problem is coming from based on the symptoms I'm experiencing – a sort of vibration at light throttle that gets worse as the car warms up. If anyone has experience with this site or can recommend other good resources for DIY diagnosis before I commit to spending money at a workshop, I'd really appreciate the guidance. I'm trying to be smart about this and not just throw money at the problem without understanding what I'm dealing with.
