Has anyone here tried any really good afternoon tea places around Merseyside or Lancashire? I’m looking for somewhere with a nice atmosphere where you can sit for a while, have a proper chat, and enjoy good tea and food without it feeling overly formal.
I’m particularly interested in places that take their tea selection seriously. I usually go for black tea, but I’m happy to try different varieties when there’s a decent selection available. I’ve recently been reading a bit more about the differences between black teas, and it’s surprising how much the flavor can vary.
