I enjoyed reading this! It's always fascinating to see which levels get chosen for speedrunning. I think a big part of what makes a level "speedrunnable" is the right balance of challenge and exploitability. It needs to be difficult enough to feel rewarding when you nail it, but also have little quirks or glitches that allow for creative time-saving strategies. It's fun to see how players discover these techniques.
Thinking about this, makes me remember a game I played once where you have to quickly maneuver cows. It made me realize how simple concepts could be really interesting if designed well, a bit like crazy cattle 3d I saw advertised somewhere. That game had some really tight turns and precise movements to get the cows through the course. The skill ceiling felt super high. What game level did you enjoy the most?
