I’ve been seriously considering a Spiti trip this year, but I’m stuck between booking Spiti Valley Packages and planning everything on my own. On one side, packages look super convenient because they handle transport, stays, and a fixed itinerary, which honestly sounds helpful given how remote and unpredictable Spiti can be.
But at the same time, I’m someone who likes a bit of flexibility while traveling. I don’t want to feel rushed or stuck to a strict schedule where you just tick off places without really experiencing them. When I checked a few Spiti Valley Packages, some itineraries looked quite packed, and I’m not sure if that’s actually enjoyable at such high altitudes.
Another thing I’m trying to understand is how these packages handle real-time challenges like roadblocks, weather changes, or health issues due to altitude. Do they adapt well, or do they just stick to the fixed plan no matter what?
Also, how is the overall experience when you go with a group through a package? Does it feel too commercial, or do you still get those peaceful, raw Spiti moments everyone talks about?
If anyone here has done Spiti through a package, I’d really like to know how it felt in reality. Did it make your journey easier and safer, or did you feel like planning it yourself would have been better?
